APPROX 2.5 HOURS
On this trike adventure we head out of Melton Mowbray into the rolling countryside of Leicestershire and take a tour round the world famous Stapleford Park (where the rich and famous holiday and often get married!). Moving onto the rolling hills of Rutland we pass by Wymondham windmill, which is currently being restored to its former glory, and take in the traditional stone buildings of the area (you may spot one of the many hunts out across the fields that operate in this county).
Then heading up the West shore of Rutland Water you get to experience the sheer size of this man-made reservoir. A near full circuit of the water is broken with a comfort break for drinks and cake!
Then onto the historic yet cosmopolitan town of Oakham which leads us straight onto the parklands and grounds of one of Rutland’s hidden gems – Launde Abbey. The abbey sits amongst stunning scenery and is well worth a visit in its own right. From here we tour back to Melton Mowbray through the beautiful Rutland countryside.
As of the beginning of June we are starting back up with our short tours. Longer tours above 2 hours are currently limited by the lack of comfort stops available, but when cafes etc. are open again we can offer these longer tours.
We have a full detail of handling, disinfecting, distancing and operating which we will be adhering to for the safety of our trike riders and of course ourselves.
Please see the FAQ page for more details.
What better way to enjoy this fantastic area and the weather we are experiencing than on the back of a powerful Boom trike!
As always, your safety and enjoyment are our main priorities….
